let sleeping dogs lie

Instructions

hand applique or fusing

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Whimsical

Materials

cotton fabric

What was your inspiration?

I was inspired by a photo of my sons dog lieing in his shoe

What are you most proud of?

hand applique but can also be fused on and machine quilted

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

enjoy the subject matter so you don't become bored with the project. It can be any size depending on how large you want to make it. I make a grid of the photo and enlarge it on freezer paper, very simple. Then choose the fabrics, great way to use small scraps too.

I have really enjoyed doing dogs and these are quite large so it makes a very big impact in quilt shows.
