What materials did you use? cotton fabrics

What are you most proud of? It has a warm comfy look. I had enough of my inspiration fabric for the sashing & border. And I had enough of one of the brown fabrics to do a narrow border. Whew!!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? The sashing is 1 1/2" finished. Narrow brown border is 1 " finished. Outer border is 3". The final size of the quilt will be roughly 64" by 78". I'm doing a pieced back for this trying to use up as much of my leftovers as possible (I don't need more scraps hanging around!).

Such beautiful colors and fabrics! I too chose a brown theme for one of my BOM quilts but I love the patterns you found. Great job!

Thanks so much! I just looked at your browns & blues! Love the touch of rust in the brown one & figured out that you were the one who did such a great job with the blue double star block - looks like the fabrics blended together for the inner star.

Oh Darns!! You are an ever present inpiration to me! I got another three blocks done today, but I still have four to make. Hopefully mine will look as wonderful as yours. Great sas and borders.

Hey, Sue, let's form a mutual admiration society - I so much want to be able to quilt like you!

Sure do like the way your BOM has come together and turned into such a great quilt. the quilting you are doing on each block is just amazing and really adds to the quilt. Guess I need to get back to mine-I think I am several months behind! sigh...

Thank you, mimi! These things will get done when they get done - don't pressure yourself - we're having fun, right?

11/15/2012 Flag

Yes we are having fun-trouble is I have somehow gotten myself started on too many things at once!

11/18/2012 Flag

We are not quilters/sewers unless we have 5-7 different piles of fabric in progress!

I love the look. Congratulations on getting it put together.

Thank you! BOM takes a long, long time, doesn't it?
