I wanted to recycle an old Ultra Suede Coat into something that was created by me.

What are you most proud of?

Creating a different look using the waxed linen.

this is really beautiful in the combinations of fabric/embroidery/painting---whatever you did! And the quality of work is exquisite and shows up that way in your picture.I am amazed to learn that you hadn't touched a sewing maching in years and that you had any struggle with the project at all. Thanks for the positive comments. It was truly a joy to stitch. I remember smiling and saying after stitching out each piece "it's so beautiful". Frankly, after all the sections were stitched I struggled to design a way to put it all together. I hadn't used a sewing machine in many years and it was my first attempt at piecing. But I was so thrilled at the end result. I gave it to my son.
