What was your inspiration?
This dress is a part of my pattern making study. Im currently on surplice styles. I personally love surplice styles. It looks good on everyone, and is so so sexy and classic at the same time. Ill be making more variations of this style soon.
What are you most proud of?
Its amazing to cut up fabric not knowing whether it'll turn out right, and finally getting an amazing product.
I love that i did this patiently, and like any obsessive seamstress, i don't mind ripping out seams and doing it all over again.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
This project is quite easy, and as iv figured out, making garments with gathers are far easier than straight style lines. And gathers look nice too. So even if you make some small mistakes, the gathers cover them up. Go for it.
