You could make them longer. Just add additional chains at the beginning of the pattern to make them the length you'd prefer, then follow the rest of the pattern as directed. :)

very very cute, I've always knitted legwarmers instead of crocheting them, this pattern is awesome since I crochet faster then I knit

Same here, I've seen lots of knit legwarmers, but I don't knit very fast. I wanted something that worked up quick, but was still super cute!

I am always dropping stitches in knitting. That is why I like crocheting because if I drop a stitch, I can pick it up again.
