What are you most proud of? Using silk thread is a little harder to use but is far superior in the feel of it. Also It was a challenge to get the motif. I ended up taking a photo of the page and then cropping the flower out of the design, enlarged it and printed it out. I find it hard to follow written instructions so I then used coloured pens to colour the motif and followed the pattern that way.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? I used the paper squares for each row but this time I numbered them 1 to 4 for each row so that I knew that I had done the four motifs for each row. Again patience is a virtue

Beautiful design, work on your purse. I often use graph paper to create my own or tweak an existing pattern. Wherever did you get the closure, is it an antique?

Thanks! Answered my question I put up on another of your bags. I found some on ETSY but when I did the conversion it looks like the opening is only 1 & 1/4 inches wide? Surely that is not right? A hand could barely fit inside an opening that small. Do you have a good estimate of how wide the opening can get and still get a hand inside?

At this website the frames open enough to fit a hand inside.
