The neck section was knitted on a circular needle, and then the leaves (of which there are 25) are knitted on two needles.

What was your inspiration?

I really like the flower fairy books by Cicely Mary Barker. I was inspired by them, but also wanted to knit something that would be genuinely useful. I hope I have managed to combine stylishness and practicality.

What are you most proud of?

My little model.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

I started off on the leaves very enthusiastically, as it is quite fun seeing the little leaves form. By the end I could do a leaf in 15 minutes, but with 25 in all, you do the maths. There are also quite a lot of ends to run in. I still think the finished result makes all this worth it.
