Pattern Info

Pattern info for this project can be found here:
Roberta Rosenfeld's twisted Pullover

Instructions

This sweater was featured in Vogue Knitting Winter 2011/12. I used a lighter weight wool than what was suggested.

Difficulty:

Category: Knitting

Type of item: Clothing

For: Women

Style: Casual

Materials

Schulana Wool-70% kid Mohair, 30% Silk

What are you most proud of?

I love this wool! It is super soft and feels great even on sensitive skin

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Knit the front panel first, it is a big piece (because it is twisted).

Hi-there is nothing wrong! When you twist the font you will actually have 1/2 of the sweater showing on the left (purl) side, and the other on the right (knit) side. That is the way the pattern is intended. Best wishes, Nina

I'm fairly new at knitting. The twisted sweater looked easy enough - K row then P row. Followed instructions in magazine, and when I layed out the two pieces, each looked like the drawings. However, when I went to put right sides together, and then do the 1/2 twist, the knobby side showed. What is wrong??? Thanks for any help!!!!

I'm generally a person who sews. I was wondering if this could be sewn in sweater knit or something similar. I'll check out the vogue knitting to see if I can make a pattern. Wish me luck! Nina

Absolutely! You can sew it in fabric, the pattern is quite simple! Make sure the fabric is very! soft and folds/hangs easily, otherwise the design will form an ugly bunch right at your belly....Good luck!

I think that you could purchase a copy of Vogue Knitting Winter 2011/12 through the Internet. Alternately, most knitting stores carry this magazine so you might find it when you are in Las Vagas . Good luck
