Is this your project? Can you share instructions or a pattern with the Craftsy community?

Difficulty:

Category: Home & Garden

Type of item: Plant or Flower

For: Home

Style: Mod

Materials

Natural stone, 3000 perennials in 9000 sq' of bed space, soil and partially decomposed mulch.

What was your inspiration?

My main inspiration comes from a few garden designers from around the world. Piet Oudolf, James Vansweden, Charles Jencks, Eckersley Garden Architecture to name a few.

On top of that, nature has always been a source of great inspiration.

What are you most proud of?

This project has exceeded my imagination of what is possible with plants. I've realized so many possible combinations of plants and how dynamic a garden really is.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Before you start build a garden of this size or any size, always put your ideas on paper. Plan every area from different view points of your yard. And the most important bit of advice would be to think big! Small spaces will only feel smaller if you design with small elements.
