...meant 'double crochet into the next CHAIN'. It's late...good luck. It really is a beautiful scarf.

Ladies, it looks like you double crochet to where you want a space, then chain 2, skip 2 chain spaces, then double crochet into the next space. You will be offsetting your spaces to get the diagonal pattern. Hope this works for you.

That's basically it. I wish I could post the pattern exactly as it is in the book, but I don't think I'm permitted that. But you got the basic concept; good eye!

Thank you for liking this! I used the pattern from the book "The Complete Book of Crochet Stitch Designs" by Linda P. Schapper. I adapted her general pattern to fit my need. In this case my scarf. People keep asking me to share the pattern, but I don't think I'm allowed to without permission since it's from a published and copyrighted book. Sorry. :(

How do we get the pattern for this beautiful scarf? I would absolutely love to crochet several of these. Can the person who posted this picture please supply instructions on how to make? Thanks

Hi and thanks for like the scarf. I used the book "The Complete Book of Crochet Stitch Designs" by Linda P. Schapper. I adapted the general stitch in the book to make into a scarf. I wish I could share the pattern, but I don't think I am allowed to post the pattern without permission though.
