What materials did you use? 100% cotton with a cotton batting.

What are you most proud of? I consistently sewed straight seams so it was a nice rectangular shape when the top was done! I also finished this project!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Plan this one out. Use a paper with a grid to draw all of the squares. When I started to sew I put the grid into a plastic page protector and crossed off the blocks as I sewed them. Even then there was one yellow block I had to re-do two times.

So pretty! Love the brights on the back and gray.

Love love love. You've created a gorgeous quilt - well done! I've been drawn to this quilt design since I first saw it. The black & white with the bright rows of color "pops" is delightful! Time to start collecting more fabric :)

If you look closely at the pattern they used different fabric for every square. I couldn't find that much variety so I went with 3 different patterned blacks and 3 different patterned whites. I think it gave me enough variety. At least I am happy with it! Good luck to you.

Love the way the quilt makes the eye see coloured diagonal stripes.
