What materials did you use? I cuts strips from an old sheet and then coordinated the other strips with it... lots of cutting and some pre-cut strips :) Supply list: 1 jelly roll or 40- 2.5" by WOF (width of fabric) strips Backing fabric 4 5/8 yds Border fabric 2 yards (cut 8- 8.5" strips) Binding fabric yard (cut 7- 2.5" strips) 1 twin size (or larger) roll of batting (cotton or bamboo blends are nice) Quilt safety pins (curved safety pins to hold the backing, batting, and quilt top together while quilting) Coordinating thread

Looking forward to making this one. Did you use the whole jelly roll?

I used the equivalent of the whole 40 strips in a jelly roll, however I had some scraps and strips from FQs. The trick to making the top to this quilt is to sew the short ends of all the 40 strips together into one long ribbon, cut about 10-15 inches off of one end, and then sew one edge of the long ribbon together, cutting the fold at the end to give you 2 rows. Repeat for 4 rows. Repeat for 8 rows. Repat for 16 rows. And I stopped at 32 rows. Super quick process... well comparatively :) The randomness of where the different strips end up is part of the fun!

This quilt would be a good starter quilt.

I am a newbie to the beautiful world of learning to quilt. I think this is a awesome project for me to attempt. Thanks!
