What materials did you use? cotton yarn - I chose a combination of chocholate brown, turquise and a changing colours yarn

What are you most proud of? I started working just having the stitch as a given - no number of starting chains, or number of rows required - I had to calculate it myself to make the blanket as I wanted it, plus the repeats of colour, plus the fact that the colour changing yarn wasn't available apart from the skeins I already had (it was an instict buy at a sale). It took a little struggling, but I think the result is beautiful - the baby's mom loved it and a friend wants me to make her a dress like it - overall, not bad...

What advice would you give someone starting this project? 1. cotton, cotton, cotton - if you can find a thick-like cotton yarn it will be perfect - the stitch is beautiful, it works fast and you can really see your progress - it also works with different weights (the chocholate brown yarn was of lighter weight than the others, but it still turn out great - only thing, I used it double for the edging to be more dominant) 2. the edging - don't fuss about it - no ruffles, no shells, no nothing - I made a sc/c/sc 4-row edging to give it a "frame" so that the stitch really pops 3. if you have a dominant color carry it on the side - is saves up time weaving tails - perfect scenario: two colors, you carry them both on the side, two tails to weave
