What materials did you use? Fabric, batting, thread

What are you most proud of? The freehand quilting in the centers of the plates. I really wasn't sure how it would come out, but I love how it looked

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Make sure you keep track of how many pieces you cut out - I had enough for two quilts!

So nice! They look so complicated. I had one in my cedar chest that my grandmother did. It was just the top. I finally took it out and opened it up. I was so shocked-she had done every stitch by hand. It was a king size. It must have taken her forever.

How special! I'll bet it's beautiful!

Wow, what a lot of work, it is beautiful. I love how the quilting in the background really makes the dresden plates really stand out. Who gets the other quilt?

All the pieces went back to the lady who commissioned me to finish it! She cut out all the pieces, and had more than enough for this project, but wasn't able to get it finished.

Absolutly beautiful, love how the colour stand out on the crisp white background. I day I will attempt this pattern.

What a beautiful quilt! I love it that you have left the center of each plate uncovered and quilted in them. I am making two twin sized Dresden Plate quilts, but instead of the rounded tips, the tips are pointed. I had the templates for a long time before I got up enough nerve to start the quilt. And, it has not been difficult at all. I am anxious to finish them, as the finished product never fails to amaze me.
