What materials did you use? Quilting Cotton - This was a stash buster to use a lot of fabric I had remaining from various projects. I did have to pick up some additional fabric for the borders, back and binding

What are you most proud of? I love how this quilt turned out and am sad that it's not for me. :(

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Just try it and don't be afraid to use your seam ripper. I had to use mine probably 6 times.

I love to sew and I love to learn new thing and the colors. I would like to learn how to make Quilts.

If you can sew, I'd think you are a step ahead of me from when I started learning to quilt. I didn't even know how to sew, and I still don't know how to make clothes or anything like that. I'm self taught with everything I've done thus far and plan to continue to grow with the items I make.

Love this quilt and I agree that sometimes you just have to go for it! Well done on a lovely palette of colours.

Thank you!! I actually had no idea what I was going to do after the 'middle' was completed and finally decided on the borders and absolutely love how it turned out.

this is a great quilt ~ this is the type of look my husband has been trying to get me to accomplish .. he is actually the one who got me started quilting! he asked me to learn :) he doesn't like the ones with all the "small parts" .. he wants big squares, a more simple plan ... guess it's not so difficult to do after all ! thanks so much for sharing this ... it's really beautiful :D

I really do love quilting. I learn something new with every one I make and this simple pieced and quilted one is definitely one of my favorites. I am always concerned about the squares or pieces lining up exactly, however they never seem to turn out. I think on this quilt, it is close enough to not be distracting even with a few being off a little. I used my accuquilt cutter to cut the squares (about 5") and my rotary tool and mat for the borders.
