What was your inspiration?
My inspiration for this necklace was definitely the colors of the big beads. My boyfriend is a glass blower and when we were getting ready for a 2 day festival where we were setting up a craft booth, he asked if I would string some beads into necklaces....this piece was the result of one of those necklaces. I have never done jewelry before, I came on here and downloaded a couple of free tutorials from some other crafters and that was the end of it! I now have a whole other shelf in my craft room completely dedicated to beading and jewelry making! All of the beads on this necklace, except for the small sea beads, were designed and flame worked by my boyfriend. The big white ones are also glow-in-the-dark!
What are you most proud of?
The over-all design of the necklace. It took me a while to figure out just exactly how I was going to put these big beads into some kind of a delicate, dainty piece that someone would want to wear. Once I finally figured out the lay-out of everything, all the other colors just started to come together. I spent 2 and 1/2 days working on this and when it was all said and done, I smiled!
