Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this cake: Bridget was a very recent Pastry Arts grad, and was planning her Wedding. She knew she wanted the following details on her Wedding Cake: 5 tiers, a separator (riser), Lambeth border constructions, quilted fondant, and gum paste roses & stephanotis blossoms. After sketching details out for her, we decided the quilted fondant would go on the bottom tier, and her favorite Lambeth borders would be interspersed throughout the rest of the tiers. The gum paste flowers would act as the Topper. Tier sizes: were 6-inch diameter x 4-inch high; 9-inch diameter x 4-inch high; 12-inch diameter ?Petal? tier x 4-inch high;16-inch diameter x 4-inch high; 20-inch diameter x 5-inch high False Tier (as we did not need the servings in this tier). A 7-inch diameter x 1-inch high RISER was used to separate the 9-inch tier from the 12-inch tier. The Cake sat atop a 22-inch diameter cake board that was covered with white royal icing; its edge will be trimmed w/satin ribbon.
