What was your inspiration?
The story of Rachael O'Neil and Little Dresses for Africa inspired me.
I loved that idea so I started designing dresses with patchwork and embroidery.
What are you most proud of?
I designed about 12 dresses that are basic construction and made them fun for a child to wear. They were all given to charity. A friend took them with her to Lusaka, Zambia to an orphanage called Chikumbuso.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Buy a simple pattern, interesting fabrics and don't be afraid to experiment.
