I used the pattern to guild me with the size of the sweater I wanted. I wanted a sweater that was long and would be closed with a belt. I also wanted one that was easy to crochet so I used just double crochet for most of the sweater.For the sleeves I crocheted it in rounds to the length I wanted about 2 inches longer than the pattern. What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Do not be afraid to try something new. If the stitch pattern or color is not what you want put the style is then make it easier with simpler stitches with the same gauge or change the color. Use the pattern as a guild for size.
