Yukon hand-dyed sock yarn from Pagewood Farm. color: Fabulous Fall. 70% merino, 20 % bamboo, 10% nylon

What was your inspiration?

The desire to learn to make socks. Chrissy Gardiner is a friend of my daughter's in Portland, Oregon and she got me excited about making socks.

What are you most proud of?

The finished product! They turned out very nicely and I love wearing them. Using the directions and videos supplied in class made this project easy for me to follow and complete.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Do your measurements. I have small feet and I shortened the foot which worked well but I didn't recheck the calf so they are a bit bigger than I'd like. They slip a little as I have thin legs.
