I made one modification from the pattern, which was instead of stitching the two halves of the scarf separately and sewing them together, I "picked up stitches" on the first half and then knitted the second half of the scarf. A co-worker showed me how to do this.Difficulty:

What are you most proud of?
I'm most proud of the fact that I completed my first knitting project in 50 years! The last time I knitted was when I was a Brownie, working on a merit badge. I made some sort of square that was done in simple knit & purl. After I got my merit badge, I stopped knitting. I've been crocheting for the last 35 years and decided it was time to try knitting again, Not only did this project involve basic knit and purl stitches, but it also involved k2tog, lacy stitches and a keyhole! Awesome!
