What was your inspiration?
I have been very jealous of my sister's ability to knit, so I decided that this summer I would learn how to do it myself. I'm already an avid crocheter, but knitting was very intimidating because of the use of two needles.
What are you most proud of?
This is my first knitted project and I'm very proud of how it turned out. I had tried a ton of videos on YouTube to learn how to knit, but most of the people on there go to fast for a beginner to really see the technique. I consider myself blessed to have stumbled across Stefanie Japel's Knit Lab course. I don't think this would have turned out so well if she didn't provided patient instruction, and built my confidence over the course of her video instructions.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Just dive in! Who cares about the mistakes you might make, if you have to frog out some of your stitches, or if your tension is bad? You won't ever learn if you're afraid to make mistakes.
