Lacy Keyhole Scarf from Knit Lab Class

Pattern Available Thru Knit Lab Class

Pattern Available Thru Knit Lab Class

Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Knit Lab: Projects, Patterns & Techniques »

Category: Knitting

Type of item: Clothing

For: Women

Style: Cute, Whimsical, Romantic, Casual

Materials

Lion Brand Wool-Ease in Blush Heather, size 7 needles

What was your inspiration?

This is Stefanie Japel's pattern that she teaches in the Knit Lab class.

What are you most proud of?

That I was able to use several techniques in one project and that I actually did the keyhole part...woo hoo!!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Please note, this is not my pattern. The pattern is available through the Knit Lab class here on Craftsy, and it's by designer Stefanie Japel. Therefore, it's not mine to share.

This looks a lot harder to make than it really is. Stefanie explains everything so well in her class in an easy to understand manner.

Hi. Your scarf turned out just lovely! Can you tell me how long it is from end to end? I'm making one now for the class. I only have the one half done but it doesn't seem very long. I did swatch to get the right gauge, so I'm hoping it may get a bit longer when I block it. Stefanie does say that the other scarf is 5 feet long, but I don't think she gave dimensions for the keyhole scarf.

If someone could direct me to the right place to get this pattern, I would really appreciate that. Thank you, Kelly

Let me see if I can help with this question. I've purchased many patterns from Craftsy.com. Go to the home page, cick on patterns. When you select the patterns that you want to purchase, you can pay for them on Paypal. You then check your email, and there you can download all the purchased and free patterns that you selected. You will have a 'Pattern LIbrary' on Craftsy after that point, and just download away. I've downloaded them both to my tablet and my pc. I think you can download it as many times as you want, i.e. if you have more than one computer that you work/browse from. It's a two or three step process depending on if you are getting free or purchased patterns. Apparently THIS pattern is not free, and I don't know yet if it is for sale on Craftsy. Go to Patterns and do a search, like I"m going to. (I have not yet searched for it, but it sure is cute, isn't it?) Be advised that it MAY not be available without taking the class. I'm not sure of that yet.

You would have to contact the designer, Stefanie Japel. This is one of her patterns available in her knit lab class.

I have made "tuck scarves" before and always struggled with a complicated "loop" to tuck them through. The idea for a HOLE is so INGENIOUS and so SIMPLE! I suddenly now find the need to make myself another scarf...

You would need to contact the designer, Stefanie Japel. I think she designed it just for the Knit Lab class that she teaches.

If she isn't sharing the pattern, just study the picture and soon you will know the pattern. I have written down the lacy ends and the keyhole construction. Email me and I will send you my notes. Knitting belongs to everyone.

Unfortunately this pattern isn't mine to share. It's what I learned how to make in Stefanie Japel's Knit Lab class. I'm not sure if she has published the pattern in one of her books or if she designed it specifically for Knit Lab. I just wanted to show off my project. Sorry!!!
