What was your inspiration?

A custom order for a 'pink' baby blanket. I had a lot of leeway with pattern selection as long as the finished blanket size was approximately 36x36 inches. The customer wanted it as soon as possible. So I chose an easy, quick pattern, but spiced it up a bit with a larger and prettier border.

What are you most proud of?

The customer loves it.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

If you need to get something done fast, look for a pattern with the same row repeated throughout. This blanket has an interesting design because it alternates shells, chains, and double crochets within each row. But since the row repeats throughout, you'll quickly memorize the pattern and it becomes very fast and mindless to make.
