This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:

Difficulty:

Category: Knitting

Type of item: Accessory

For: Women

Style: Cute, Retro / Vintage

Materials

Yarn is Lamb's Pride Worsted, M-187 Turquoise Depths. #8 circular needle and #10 flat needle to cast off.

What was your inspiration?

I did it as part of the class. Even though I have been knitting for a few months, I learned a bunch. This is not a project I would have picked to do on my own. Still I thought my mom might like it or one of my nieces. It is fun as a headband and a quick knit.

What are you most proud of?

I did lace and it was not as hard as I thought.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Leave enough cast on tail on at least one side to seam the two halves together. I used the tail on both halves to seam mine and it is messier that I liked. Still I'm trying not to be too much of a perfectionist at this. If I make this again I may do a provisional cast on and knit out from the middle, so it will be in one piece and I won't have to alter the pattern much to make it work.
