What was your inspiration?
This ornate cross is knitted as a wide lace strip and then shaped using an interesting seamless construction. Instructions are provided for making with or without beads. The Lace Cross can be used as a bookmark, communion or Easter gift, mounted and framed, or a thoughtful Christian token of friendship.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
The first row after the cast on is a bit tedious (but that is the one that produces the beautiful scallops). After that, it goes quite quickly. Takes under an hour to make one cross once you get the hang of what is going on.
