Wow! So gorgeous!!! May I ask where you got the stencil from? I haven't been able to find a pattern so beautiful.

so so beautiful..!!!! I admire your stencil work - stencils are my nemesis, I can never keep them on the cake and they end up moving and smudging the design.. How do you manage to keep them stil - do you glue them somehow on the cake?!

Oh! Thank you! What really helped me - with doing stencils in general - is using a cake-stencil-wrap-holder-thingy :-) I don't know what to call it - - you can find it at GlobalSugarArt www.globalsugarart.com/cake-wrap-kit-for-sten ciling-p-238... Thank you again for taking the time to write me!!

Beautiful! Is it Satin underneath the stencil design or did you spray with super pearl before you apply the stencil?

I tried my hand at the 'luster" or "shimmer" finish over the fondant covered cake - then, royal icing stencil over the "luster"/"shimmer" finish. The luster finish is a mixture of whatever luster dust color you like and vodka, then applied with paint brushes. I have a few that vary in softness depending on what on need.
