What was your inspiration?
My dad! He loves bamboo and has a great green thumb. I did this project for a jewelry class and surprisingly won a prize for it when I entered it in a small local art show. The box itself is roughly 1.5" x 1.25" x .5". The Chinese character is my maiden name. I gifted it to my dad.
What are you most proud of?
That I didn't cut off my fingers with the jewelry saw or the file when trying to cut and shape those teeny tiny leaves. :)
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
This project takes a lot of patience.
