What was your inspiration?
Kristin Omdahl, crochet and knit designer, author and all around creative person. I love her designs. This particular pattern may be found in Kristin's book, Crochet So Fine, p. 23. The actual name of the pattern is Orchid Circular Shawl.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Read the pattern carefully and practice the stitches before starting the project. You can check out You Tube for a demo if you're visual like me. Also, Kristin was a big help answering my many questions about the pattern. You can reach her on Ravelry.
