What was your inspiration?

A cute summer dress from Anthropologie, their version had pintucks and a polka dot fabric.

What are you most proud of?

Couldn't find a pintuck foot for my machine, used the invisible zipper foot and a 2 mm double needle - great results.
I combined a basic dress top with a deeper neckline from another pattern. The skirt is simply gathered.
I noticed the original had piping between the bodice and skirt and was very pleased that it came out so nice.
Put in a side invisible zipper and self bias binding on the neckline and armholes.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

With the right equiptment pintucking is easy. I made the pintucks first. Kept measuring against my pattern until I felt I had enough, then I cut out the front pattern piece. I have no idea how else to do this, since figuring out the math would have been too hard.
