What materials did you use? 100 % cottons; embroidery silks; wadding

What are you most proud of? It was the first patchwork item I have designed myself. I am actually most proud of the practical bag liner.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Organise yourself. I recommend you do the appliqu pieces and embroidery before constructing the patches together.

Hi - just wondering how you quilted the outside of the bag but not the lining - did you quilt the outside and wadding together then put the lining on?? Just about to attempt to make a bag too and can't quite decide how I want to do it - thanks for sharing this great bag - looks beautiful and really practical too! :)

Thank you. I made the inner skin seperate from the outer bag. If you want you can use a plain lining on the back of the wadding and then make a separate one which is practical and pleasing to the eye. Good luck. Send me a photo when its done!

Thanks I will post on here when it's finished. I'm thinking that I want quite a soft and floppy bag, so may not use wadding at all, just some fusible stabiliser to give it a little more strength for this particular one. I will do a quilted one soon though - so many ideas and not enough time! :)
