What was your inspiration?

I had a stash of yarn from the crafts fair and wanted to make something for mum for Xmas. She loves this green colour so tried the slippers and it worked out just fine. The pom poms were my addition.
For dad I used 100% wool to make the socks as her mum used to make it for them. After she passed away we didn't have anyone to make them so I decided I will learn and look how well I managed:-) He was very pleased.

What are you most proud of?

How the presents turned out and they made everyone feel special. Little effort from my part but made a great impact.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Don't be afraid of trying out the round-knitting technique. Can't praise those enough who upload instructions to youtube. Very easy to follow and don't cost anything.
