My daughter asked me for leg warmers for her baby when she was a newborn. Her sister wore them too all the way up to 2 1/2 years old!!! So they may be thigh high for a newborn, but they are very cute, knee high leg warmers for tiny dancers too!!
What are you most proud of?
I'm proud that I could make up a pattern and have the kids get so much use out of these.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
This is not a difficult project. It is simply a stockinette stitch and some ribbing, plus the cute little ruffle. It is seamless, but if you are uncomfortable knitting in the round, they could probably be made on straight needles and grafted to finish.
