What was your inspiration?

These hats were made for my soon-to-be three year old twin boys at their Daddys request. They are definitely fun hats for little ones to wear, although Im pretty sure that theyre more fun for my husband, who absolutely loves to take the boys out wearing them.

What are you most proud of?

Designing the Ratchet ears were pretty difficult, and I went through several (failed) prototypes before finally settling on this design!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Although there isn't anything particularly difficult (k, p, k2tog, ssk--pretty standard stitches), it's a very long and involved pattern--for both hats. I suggest reading the pattern closely before deciding whether or not to embark on this project!
