Instructions

I deviated from the instruction in that I cast on 50% more stitches using a provisional cast on and decreased using a k1, k2tog to get the original number of stitches before working the lace ends.

I'm not a fan of the stitch used for the around the neck bit. I'm tearing it out to make something else.

What was your inspiration?

I haven't knit in 30 years and wanted to make sure I was back up to speed. It was a good class, well taught, but the project wasn't something I will ever use and I don't like the purl bump rows.

What are you most proud of?

That I actually finished it (sans working in ends) before I gagged and took it apart to make something else.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Enjoy the process. Learn what there is to learn and enjoy the end result or take it apart and use the yarn to make something else. The joy can in the learning, the end project or the journey. Enjoy. Japel's a good instructor and has a lot to share.
