What was your inspiration?
Cocker Spaniels have always been a favorite of mine, with their long, wavy fur ears and their sweet faces. So I set out to capture the look, using Red Heart Boutique Fur Sure super-bulky yarn (280 yds.) in Camel. This yarn creates a very thick, soft fur that's oh, so squeezable, you can't resist picking him up and giving him a good hug! Sitting approx. 14" tall, he's got big fuzzy, floppy paws and soft, irresistible ears and eyes just begging you to come and play! Using size 8 (5mm) needles gets him made quickly, and gauge is not critical. Using similar color worsted weight yarn for stitching seams and attaching parts makes it easier to get him together.
What are you most proud of?
Capturing the Cocker Spaniel look in knitting.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
