What are you most proud of? The experiment worked very well! I made these for a Holiday Crafts Boutique and created two lovely holiday decorations with them. For each, I perched the project on a pile of fireplace logs and lightly hot glued them to hold them in place so that it looked as if they were drying by the fire. I wrapped festive holiday ribbon around the log pile and embellished it with silk poinsettias, holly and berries. The final touch was to put a little glue in spots on the logs and sprinkled them with gold glitter. The logs were so popular, I sold them right away!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? It's easiest to needle felt on flat pieces, so I suggest you knit the hat and mittens as flat pieces, needle felt the designs, then seam them with the invisible mattress stitch. Also remember to use wool yarn if you're going to knit something you plan to needle felt, or at least make sure the yarn content is primarily wool or other natural fiber.

Thank you, Rhonda. You are very kind. I hope you'll think about adding needle felted embellishments to your knitting. If you have any questions about it, let me know.

These are so cute. And I love the detail you have put into making these mittens. You are so talent.
