What was your inspiration?
Long flight ahead. Novita has this yarn used in socks of different colors, I used a pattern for a similar yarn in weight, but used Polku instead which I really like the colors of.
What are you most proud of?
Nutting really, just a really nice stand out pair of kneehighs
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
If you just want to use my Finnish socks pattern, cast on 80 stitches of yarn (divide as 26,14,14,26) approximating 24s to 10 cm/34 rows to 10cm, pattern is either beginning of needle #2 or end of #3, purl two, knit two together, one yarn over, purl two, one row just knitted over (p2,k2,p2), alternating with p2, yo,k2tog, p2, knit over one row.....repeat, easy! Reduce after about 12 cm of calf every 8 rows end of needles 4 and beginning of 1 (end of 4: knit all until 3 left, k2tog, k1, then needle 1, k1, k2tog, knit all) until 14 left on each needle, then turn the heel.
