What was your inspiration?
As worn by Amanda Palmer on her Theatre is Evil tour! I was inspired by designer Louise Black's unusual corsets, and I felt my Amanda Palmer doll honoring her costumes would not be complete without the Klaus Nomi corset. I never saw this corset in person. She didn't take her dress down to reveal it, but I thought it was worthy of creating one. I asked Louise Black if she minded, but she was all for it! It took me ages to get to it as I came down with a horrible, month-long bout of bronchitis that absolutely kicked my butt. As soon I was able, I buckled down and got it done in one day. It really does take me as long to create a miniature garment as it does an actual-size one! This was completely hand-sewn.
