Category: Sewing

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Heavy cotton fashion fabric, silk lining, cording with tape, tassels, eye hooks, plastic rings (3/4"), 1" x 2" x window width wood, staples or nails. cotton twine

What was your inspiration?

Home Decor magazines and I have always loved Roman shades for their practical uses.

What are you most proud of?

The folds came out perfect and the scallops on the bottom were a last minute decision which added a great subtle detail.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Know your fabric and triple measure everything! Remember that you lose length every time you sew a pleat.
