What materials did you use? 100% Cotton

What are you most proud of? Getting those sleeves done! It was like doing origami with fabric. I had to trust the pattern and hope for the best.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Really be sure you understand how the sleeves go.

This is beautiful. Can I ask where you got the pattern?

I'm pretty sure it was Simplicity costume pattern.

Wow! I have this pattern from Simplicity and have been working up the courage to make a kimono for myself. A kimono is no simple robe, it takes patience and a ton of fabric. Yours is beautiful and I hope you love wearing it.

Thank you I do love it! It did cost mor than a normal robe would have lol but I don't care. The pattern was very good and the robe was not that difficult in general once you wrapped your brain around the sleeves. I would also reccomend using a high quality quilting cotton. I did and have not regretted the $9 a yard once. Also it gives the robe more structure and shaping than a flimsier material would. Another bonus is no wrinkles even after I toss it in the dryer.
