What was your inspiration?
My inspiration was my beautiful, wonderful daughter-in-law Kerrie. When I think of Kerrie, I think of spring flowers, pastel colors and everything sweet.
What are you most proud of?
I made Kerrie's shawl as a Christmas gift for her and decided at the last minute to enter it into the 2010 Orange County Fair's knitting competition. Since I didn't create it for competition, I was proud of my 3rd place win.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
I would suggest you start with a basic shawl and use your imagination and inspiration from other designers to create something that reflects the person who will receive the gift.
