Is this your project? Can you share instructions or a pattern with the Craftsy community?

Difficulty:

Category: Knitting

Type of item: Clothing

For: Unisex

Style: Outdoorsy, Casual, Classic, Funky

Materials

James C. Brett Marble Chunky Yarn; circular knitting needles U.S. #9 & 10; double point needles #9

What was your inspiration?

My sister Kelly & I started a walking program together, although she lives in Oregon and I live in Colorado. I made this watch cap for her to wear on her walks, and made it simple, and warm since it can be cold and rainy there. The earthy tones suit her, and she likes blue.

What are you most proud of?

Although this hat is made to be functional , rather than stylish, I like the way it looks. I also like that you can pull the brim out...like a cloche...to protect your glasses when it rains (my fellow glasses-wearers will appreciate this feature!)

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

This is a very simple project that knits up fast on bulky yarn. Though you can't really tell, the body is a twisted knit stitch, which gives it a little more texture.
