Instructions

The book is from Elizabeth Hartman's Practical Guide to Patchwoork. I added on an additional 13 blocks to make it much larger.

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Unisex

Style: Mod, Funky

Materials

I used Kona and Bella Solids and a variety of different quilting cottons

What was your inspiration?

My inspiration was a color palette my friend Kayla gave me (this quilt was for her). She's a happy and bright person, and I thought the colors needed to match her personality!

What are you most proud of?

The quilting! I did all of this on my Bernina 430, and it took quite a few hours! I'm very happy with how it turned out though.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Relax those shoulders! Quilting something this large takes time, and you should try to relax and not be stressed while quilting, or you'll draw up your shoulders and really hurt the next day! Also, I LOVE my quilting gloves. They really do help a lot!
