Fabric, batting, and thread. There is fabric from Sweetwater Reunion and Denise Schmidt's Aunt Edna (which I am obsessed with), among others.
What was your inspiration?
For my friend Kate's new baby Emery. I was going to make a flying geese quilt, but then decided to do a little something different with the blocks. Having done quilts that were simple to piece in the past, I wasn't completely prepared for this, so my blocks didn't line up well, but I love it nonetheless. I didn't follow an official pattern, but I am sure that you can find this block somewhere on the internet. It seems pretty traditional.
