Although the pattern doesn't call for it ... I really think it needs a boarder. Maybe 2.5 inch squares, five across of all the colored fabric ... similar to my "WoNkY Stars?" quilt. It's already a large quilt but is just doesn't seem finished to me. What do you all think?.

I have to say this is a lovely quilt and in many cases I prefer no border. For some reason, this one seems to call for a border, either as you outlined or the same as the background.

Thank you ... I think I am going to have to tackle adding a boarder. UGH!

Hi Anitra. I agree that this quilt will look more finished with a border. You have obviously spent a lot of time piecing it. Adding a border will complete the quilt and make all the work you have put into well spent. IMHO the five across 2.5" squares, like what you did on Wonky Stars, is not a good choice here. I don't see any five patterns in the body of the quilt. A simple white calico print with lots of colors that you used in the body of the quilt will tie everything together. Make it half the width of your star block. You could even add the eight pointed star block in each corner of the border. If you pin your border every two inches when sewing it really won't be that hard to add on.

Thank you Denise for your feedback. I think you may be right. I can't seem to decide what to do with it ... so now it becomes one of my many UFO's. Ugh!
