Acrylic yarn from Michaels.

What was your inspiration?

I just happened to be browsing the knitting classes on Boxing Day and thought this would make a great present for the new baby in the family!

What are you most proud of?

This is only the second thing I've ever knitted. The first was a scarf, so I had never knit in the round before. I am really happy with how well this turned out!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Definitely give this a try. It's actually not that difficult a project and it was great for learning some new skills. Even if there are things here you haven't done before, there's lots on information in the video classes as well as the technique library.

Also, I didn't use the poly beads because this was for a newborn, but in retrospect I kind of wish I had. Since there was no weight in the bottom it tends to fall over quite easily, rather than stay sitting up. If I make another I'll use some little organza bags to put the beads in inside the body before stuffing.
