Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Craftsy Block of the Month 2012 »

Instructions

Try not to get worked up over your fabric choices. If you are using stash fabrics, try more than one version. If not, just enjoy the process as it unfolds.

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Traditional

Materials

100% cotton fabrics from my stash.

What was your inspiration?

Fabric is where my inspiration begins. I always enjoy seeing how colors play together.

What are you most proud of?

June didn't inspire me, so I fussed over fabric choices and whether I'd motivate myself to even do them; so I was just happy to get them done. July was much more interesting for me.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

If you are new to quilting, use cotton fabrics you may already own or buy sale fabrics to try out the blocks. The best advice is follow your heart and just try them. If you don't like the results of any of them, those can either be remade or replaced with blocks you do love.

As for me, I don't even know yet if all my blocks will end up in a lap quilt in this crafty course or I select blocks to use in a variety of different smaller projects. My goal is just to do all 20 blocks and then decide...
