I still have these to do (still finishing up my hexagons !). But I was thinking of using stripes in my Octagon like you did. Seeing yours, I am definately doing so. It really shows the dimension and detail of the shape! Nice!

I was tossing up between stripes and zig zag, I felt this block needed fabric with a direction in it. I also cut the HST on the bias... very daring for me LOL! Can't wait to see what you do with yours now... no pressure... but waiting LOL.

Thanks... yeah so much so that its a bit hard on the ol eyes in the photo! Certainly adding a new dimension to my BOM's!
