Instructions

I've been anxious to use these two print fabrics somewhere in this project where they would really show off. I hope this was the right choice.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Definitely check your gauge on the 1/4 seams. If you are over even a hair the block will not measure 12 1/2 inches to a side. Unlike some of the other blocks, this one has no tolerance to trim after assembly.

I like your block, and isn't it funny how sometimes when we piece like this how some parts match up on the design, like in the picture on the left of the center how some match up. nicely done.

I agree. It's always tempting to waste fabric and try and force that match up, but it so much better when it happens by accident
